3D Hosting was founded by an individual that was pretty annoyed at other webhosting companies. His popular site that received about 300,000 pageviews per day went to 7 webhosting companies over the course of 8 months. It was a ridiculous time for hosting. Each company he went to told him stories of excellent support, and stories of unlimited bandwith, or hard drive space, and each company proved to lie about everything they ever told him, with the exception of one or two. After being fed up with all of the garbage other hosting companies fed him, he decided to start a service where the websites were a priority rather than billing, and where customer service was easily received at any given time.

We can host your website on a UNIX server, that never will have more than 50 customers on it. Our competition always puts roughly 500-1000 customers on the same server, making it more prone to crashing, and awful slow. Every one of our webservers runs the latest build of Apache, under the Redhat Linux environment. We are connected by a T-3 to UUNet and Digex, and another individual T-3 to qwest and AOL. Physically, our servers are located in Atlanta, GA in the same building as UUNet and Digex (UUNet is one floor above us, and Digex is just below us). Our support staff resides in Rochester, NY, and our server administrative team is scattered among other states including the physical location of the servers. We do not resell other companies services like 95% of all webhosting companies out there.

Our plans are generous for bandwith and hard drive space allowances, and they are reasonably priced. The average website that gets 100 visitors per day is encouraged to grow the site and then move to 3D Hosting.
